Photos to share from our day trip to Nicosia

We took a little trip to Nicosia on 9th July and managed to get a few photos whilst we were there.

The images on this link (to our Cyprus Stamps Blogspot site) were taken in the Turkish occupied area of Northern Cyprus, just the other side of the crossing point on Ledra Street (the main shopping district).

A couple of the photos were taken last year, not long after the new crossing point was officially opened and those of Buytuk Han (an important Ottoman Building), in Selimiye district of Nicosia were taken on this trip.

9th July was a first day of issue for Medical Plants so we managed to pick up some stamps and covers too!

It was an extremely hot day and the journey of an hour seemed to take forever, coming back home to Limassol.

Don't have a PayPal account?
