The Turks aren't invading again, it's just the Greek Cypriot way of commemorating the invasion. Peace will be shattered anywhere between 5am and 6.30am over the coming mornings. Posted on Saturday Jul 10 3:58:00 BST 2010 As promised, here are some images from our cruise the other weekend. Cyprus Stamps went off on a catamaran cruise along the Limassol coastline last weekend(Saturday 3rd July) courtesy of Michele's employer. We left the Old Port in the morning and returned in time to catch the World Cup match between Germany and Spain.  Swimming just off the coast at the point of Akrotiri RAF base, the southernmost point of Cyprus. (This one is especially for my friend John W).  On our way back to Limassol Old Port, Saturday 3 July 2010. The container ship in front is the Eagle (Norwegian) with Limassol coastline behind. A few other images to share below, which I took with my mobile phone last month at the Aphrodite Club swimming pool in Erimi village.  It was a very breezy day, nobody in the pool! Having worked for many years in UK Tour Operations, I've experienced first hand many holiday complaints & disappointments from angry holidaymakers. Don't make the same mistake - follow my rule: research, read and relax.... And - if you're still not entirely certain. Ask the travel agent if any of the staff have visited your favoured holiday location. Most tour operators offer travel agent incentives to sell their holidays by taking them on "educational" visits. These usually entail a week of travelling between resorts, staying in 2 or 3 different hotels, taking part in organised excursions and generally becoming a holidaymaker for a few days whilst gaining an insight into the destination. Above all, make sure you get it right! Otherwise it could be the most expensive and memorable experience of all - for all the wrong reasons!
